As a recently formed E&P, Chisholm’s growth strategy includes acquisition of underappreciated and undercapitalized properties. It purchased its first assets in New Mexico’s Delaware Basin, resulting in the need to quickly gain operational oversight and management of producing wells.
FIELD DATA COLLECTION
Acquisition of critical field data for its acquired wells could take days or longer for pumpers to enter, collate, and send data to its corporate office. The company wanted to improve monitoring of current assets. It also wanted to access SCADA data for new wells as they come on line.
GAS VOLUME REPORTING
Production from its Permian assets includes significant gas volumes. However, Chisholm’s existing gas data collection and reporting methods were manual and time-consuming with calculations performed differently for each gathering facility.

W Energy Software’s cloud-based production and operations solution was selected by Chisholm to easily manage wells and track produced volumes. The software also provides facility asset management for batteries, tanks, and disposal units, giving the E&P a complete view of its operations.
REAL-TIME FIELD OPERATIONS DATA
Chisholm’s pumpers use W Energy Software’s mobile field data capture app for data entry on daily well routes. The app standardizes and validates data entry for production, tank events, and other operations data, then automatically synchronizes field data with W Energy Software’s reporting tools. W Energy Software’s flexible platform will also make it easy for Chisholm to integrate SCADA data from wells it is currently drilling.
AUTOMATED GAS VOLUME CALCULATION
W Energy Software’s production reporting solution provided Chisholm with out-of-the-box reports while providing flexibility to customize the software to the E&Ps specific needs. To enhance its monitoring of gas volumes, W Energy Software added new facility inputs for pumpers and facility-specific calculations that automatically estimate gas production.
