As we continue to evolve and innovate, we need to always make strategic decisions to better serve our customers. We write to you today with news about a decision that involves the versions of software you are currently using. W Energy Software, LLC products reach the end of their product life cycle for a number of reasons, including product obsolescence, security issues, new software releases, market demands, and technology innovation.
Sunsetting of prior versions:
In our continued effort to deliver the best, most secure, and up-to-date solutions, we have decided to end support for all versions of our ERP software prior to Version 10. This means that after December 31, 2024, we will no longer provide bug fixes, security patches, or direct support for any versions older than the two most recent versions (Version 10 and above).
Why did we make this decision:
Our move to a fully cloud-based model isn’t just a shift in technology; it’s a fundamental rethinking of how we can best serve our customers. The cloud-based environment offers many advantages that a traditional on-premise solution simply can’t match.

- Cost-Effective: Transitioning to the cloud eliminates the cost and effort of maintaining and upgrading physical servers, freeing up your resources.
- Seamless Updates: Cloud-based software gets regular updates, ensuring that you always have the latest features, improvements, and security enhancements that we make generally available to all our customers.
What does this mean for you?
If you’re currently using any version prior to Version 10, you will need to migrate to our cloud-based environment before the end of the calendar year 2024 to continue receiving the same level of support you’ve grown accustomed to.

After December 31, 2024:
Please note that we will not offer any bug fixes, security patches, or other support for on-premise customers after December 31, 2024. Among other things, this means that we will no longer be accepting support calls or offering interactive support for versions prior to V10. To maintain your support services and ensure seamless functionality, it’s imperative to upgrade your software.
